Paulette C. Taliaferro
Paulette C. Taliaferro’s diverse practice has given her the experience necessary to represent both individuals and businesses. She has practiced as a solo practitioner, was associated with a general practice law firm and has prosecuted both misdemeanor and felony cases in courts of the Commonwealth for the Cities of Portsmouth and Hampton. During her tenure as the Managing Attorney for Legal Services of Eastern Virginia, she focused on the needs of legal aid clients as well as managing a branch office.
Ms. Taliaferro was an Adjunct Professor at the Marshall-Wythe School of Law where she supervised third year law students representing victims of domestic violence. She also served as an Adjunct Professor at Christopher Newport University where she taught classes on criminal law and procedure. She also served as Professor at Commonwealth College where she taught various legal classes ranging from research to bankruptcy.
Ms. Taliaferro is a former Co-Chair of Virginia State Bar Long-range Planning Committee. She is a former Board Member of Williamsburg Bar Association as well as a former Board Member of the Williamsburg Community Action Agency.
